    Mo’ong and Friends

by nick on August 26, 2016

I am pretty excited about playing with Yogjakarta experimental gamelan group Mo’ong and friends at the Yogyakarta Arts Festival.

Mo’ong, the composer in the group, is always looking for creative concepts and innovative music, often combining elements of music from across the vast, culturally diverse, Indonesian archipelago, fused with instruments and and concepts from the rest of the world.

The group is constantly evolving in size and instrumentation and I am lucky enough to be playing saxophone tonight at the FKY event.

Here is a link to some of Mo’ong’s previous compositions.
