A recording from the The Monotremes EP Phantasmagorganism EP I was involved in. Crazy tunes, crazy costumes, crazy time signatures. A lot of fun and ended up sounding great.
The Monotremes were a six-piece band that used extended compositional forms based in jazz harmony, experimenting with colourful orchestration & sudden shifts in style, genre and colour. These tunes are influenced mainly by Zappa, Bach, Shostakovich, Ravel, Monk, Beck, gorillaz, Hendrix, etc.
